Textomur® Triesenberg (Principality of Liechtenstein)

Basic situation: a house built on the hillside in 1985 and limited on the downslope side by a timber construction. The timber beams supported the garden terrain to stop it from sliding down into the neighbouring farming zone. After 20 years the construction showed some evidence of rotting and a serious impairment of the bearing strength had to be feared so that the safety was no longer guaranteed.

Solution: considering the adjoining agricultural zone and the construction costs, the erection of a concrete wall was as much out of the question as a renovation of the timber-beam construction. A solution was sought which provided the bearing strength of a concrete wall and allowed a suitable integration in the natural environment.

The supporting wall was then planned and implemented with the Textomur steep-slope system of Fritz Landolt AG met the requirements in full.
